Sometimes it is tiring being someone who is always there for others. They are always calling you up to ask about questions, if not complain or speak about things that you wouldnt really want to hear.
They are just taking so much away from you, and not returning anything to you in return. Your time, your effort, your energy. It makes things tough for you, especially if you are facing a tough situation in your life. You just want to shut the door away from everything and be left alone for days, if not weeks and months.
It is important to always look to our leaders and Jesus for directions in life. Because we are unable to recieve things out from these people, all the more it is important to stay connected with the vine... Our God is a God of abundance... He is willing to give us our hearts' desire if we look to Him and stay in His will.
I was doing QT last night when He dropped me a verse in my heart.
I did a reflection on my attitude my past few days. My rebellious attitude against my leaders, the quiet resentment when my leaders tell me to love others more... Was not a great thing to do. I know that it is important to depend on God and His strength to get me through each day, just loving others.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:30-31
